Jane is a director, editor, and fangirl based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in post-colonial Hong Kong, she is fascinated with stories about people and places that exist in the in-between. Her obsession with internet culture has taken her to AwesomenessTV, where she currently works as an editor. In her free time, Jane loves to descend into the black hole of K-pop and cry about BTS.
Her feature-length web series “Pineapple”, which centers around cultural identity in Hong Kong, screened at the 2019 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival and was recently selected for the Asian American International Film Festival in New York. Her documentary short, “Refugee Wave”, about a female Afghan activist seeking asylum in Germany, screened at film festivals around the world.
Most recently, Jane graduated from Loyola Marymount University and completed her thesis film “Pieced Together”, a magical realist short that is currently in the festival circuit.
